Chapter President | Conference Committee Leader | Senior
Hi! My name is Jaymi and I’m a long time lover of Detroit/Wayne State. My most notable professional achievement was being elected as chapter president in April. After I graduate this coming May, I hope to one day own an event planning agency. I’ve been walking the streets of Detroit since I was in elementary school. My dad, a later in life student, is an alumn of WSU and would take me with him to campus all the time. Detroit reminds me of my family, home, and more importantly, how powerful determination can be. PRSSA isn’t just a student organization for me. It’s an asset to my future and an extended family. I can’t wait for attendees from across the region to join us in celebrating PR in Detroit.

VP of Member Services | Director of Sponsorship | Senior
Hey! My name is Emma and I am the VP of membership services and the director of conference sponsorships. After graduation in April, I hope to continue a career in public affairs and community relations. Growing up as a young dancer, I traveled to and from Detroit for performance opportunities. Being in the city for such a large part of my childhood instilled a love for urban revitalization in me. PRSSA has given me opportunities to become more confident and established in my PR skills. This conference is going to be unlike any other event in the city and I am excited to bring it to life for visiting PRSSA students from across the region.

So far, my greatest professional acheivement has been serving on my chapter’s executive board. As VP of programming, I plan all of our events. I love being surrounded by the incredible women on my eboard. They have been great coworkers and friends. I also love PRRSA for connecting me with the greater Detroit network of PR students and professionals. I’m looking forward to planning district conference with my incredible team of strong women.

Assistant VP of Programming | Assistant Director of Sponsorship | Senior
Hello there! My name is Lyndsey and I am the WSU assistant director of programming and assistant director of conference sponsorships. My greatest professional achievement this year was earning the position to be the WSU public relations peer mentor for the school year. Once I graduate in December of 2020, I hope to land a job that involves communications and art. Growing up with creative parents introduced me to the art world at a young age. I am fortunate to live near Detroit and the DIA. There is a lot of art and culture in Detroit. Hosting the District Conference in Detroit provides visitors with the opportunity to celebrate all that Detroit has to offer.
